Top 5 GameCube Games

The GameCube was first introduced in 2001, and was launched with Rogue Leader, one of the best Star Wars games ever. A sequel, Rebel Strike, followed. This console encouraged the development of timeless art styles and flashy effects, and was a great platform for the first-party Star Wars games. Here are a few of our favorite games for the GameCube. You’ll be able to pick a great game based on the genre you love.

Luigi’s Mansion

This Luigi’s Mansion gamecube version features a new controller design, lacking the second stick and analog triggers of the previous version. The game also introduces a Boss Battle mode and a second greener Luigi. The second player can play the entire game co-op or simply participate in Boss Battles. Luigi also has several unused animations and sounds, such as his sad eyes and puffy cheeks.

Metal Gear Solid 2

If you’re interested in playing stealth games, you’ve probably heard of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. This stealth action game was co-developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and Silicon Knights and published by Konami for the GameCube. The game takes place after the events of the first Metal Gear Solid. It’s an action game with stealth elements that is sure to keep you on your toes for the duration of the game.

TimeSplitters 2

TimeSplitters 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Free Radical Design and published by Eidos Interactive. It was released on PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. The sequel to the critically acclaimed TimeSplitters is a lot more action-packed than the original. Whether you play it on the TV, the PC, or the GameCube, you’ll find yourself in a whole new world of danger.

Star Fox Assault

Star Fox: Assault is a 3D scrolling third-person shooter developed by Namco and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. It is the fourth title in the Star Fox series to have been released. This game follows the same storyline as its predecessors, but focuses on a completely different gameplay mechanic. Players play as a team of three-dimensional animals who have to get rid of all the bad guys that are trying to take over the world.

Baten Kaitos

There’s a good chance that Bandai Namco will resurrect the Baten Kaitos franchise on GameCube, but it’s not clear whether this will be a new title or an existing one. The series first debuted on the GameCube in 2004/05 and was followed by a sequel, Baten Kaitos Origins, in 2006. Although the series was canceled before its release, developers from Bandai Namco have registered the trademarks for the name and series.

Metroid Prime

The fifth main Metroid installment is a new action-adventure game for the GameCube, developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo. It is the first Metroid game to feature 3D computer graphics and a first-person perspective. It follows the same basic gameplay as its predecessors, but is more challenging. The Metroid series has long been known for its action-adventure games, and this is the first to use this new style.
